What is the Diana Award?

The Diana Award stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in a world eager for positive change. Established in 1999 in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the award celebrates her belief that young people have the power to change the world. It is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9 to 25 can receive for their social action or humanitarian work.

The core of the Diana Award's philosophy is to recognize young individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the lives of others. This recognition is not just a pat on the back; it is a catalyst that propels these young changemakers into a network of like-minded individuals, offering them a platform to amplify their impact. The award's recipients, known as 'Diana Award Holders', are celebrated for their compassion, their drive to contribute to their communities, and their ability to inspire their peers to follow in their footsteps.

The Diana Award operates across multiple fronts, including the Anti-Bullying Program, which empowers young people to tackle bullying in their schools and communities, and the Mentoring Program, which connects young at-risk students with professional mentors to guide them towards a brighter future. These programs, among others, reflect the award's comprehensive approach to fostering positive social change.
