Royal Style in the Making Exhibition
Possibly the most famous wedding dress in the world is currently on display at Kensington Palace as part of the ‘Royal Style in the Making’ exhibition.
‘That’ wedding dress worn by lady Diana on her wedding day, the 29th of July 1981, nearly 40 years ago is on display for all to see at one of the Princess of Wales previous homes, Kensington palace.
The dress by designers David & Elizabeth Emanuel has a 25Foot train and featured antique Carrickmacross lace which Queen Mary previously owned.
The stunning dress along with Princess Diana’s ‘going away’ outfits are loaned to the exhibition by Princess Diana’s 2 sons, William the Duke of Cambridge, and Harry the Duke of Sussex.
The garments can be seen by all visitors to Kensington Palace and the exhibition is located in the Palaces Orangery. You can book a tour of Kensington Palace here and this also includes entrance into the exhibition.
The exhibition is open until the 2nd of January 2022.
